THE QUALLA COUNTRY FISHING TOURNAMENT
September 4 - 5, 2021
$11 entry fee and $20,000 in tagged fish in the rivers on the Cherokee Reservation (excluding the 2.2 miles of catch and release waters). Hundreds of specially tagged fish will be stocked in the Cherokee public fishing waters. Open to all ages and for all legal fishing methods. Registration necessary to redeem cash prize. HALL OF FAME WEEKEND

Bryson City, NC
The 2021 Hall of Fame Weekend will feature the following: A Friday, pre-event evening fundraiser: 'Lagers with Legends' at Mountain Layers Brewery, 90 Everett Street beginning at 7 pm. No cover charge. On Saturday, the Hall of Fame Ceremony will feature lunch at the historic Fryemont Inn, 245 Fryemont Street. The event begins with a 'Meet and Greet' at 12 pm, with lunch at 1 pm followed by the inductions. Tickets are $40 per person, and must be paid in advance. (contact Karen Proctor at 828-488-3681 to pay). John Reinhardt, Council Chair for Trout Unlimited Great Smoky Mountain Chapter, will emcee the induction ceremony.
All of these events plus additional footage on Cherokee trophy waters will be filmed to be included in an episode of Fly Rod Chronicles with Curtis Fleming. He will be present along with past Legends. More information.
Meadow Event Park, Doswell (Richmond), VA
Festival attendees listen to lectures from various experts and practice hands-on skills at the two-day, family-friendly event. Several wineries from throughout the Old Dominion provide free wine tastings for those 21 and older. All vendors are under roof in the Farm Bureau building, yet the events center is surrounded by extensive grounds suitable for outdoor classes and the casting pond.
