Festival attendees listen to lectures from various experts and practice hands-on skills at the two-day, family-friendly event. Several wineries from throughout the Old Dominion provide free wine tastings for those 21 and older. All vendors are under roof in the Farm Bureau building, yet the events center is surrounded by extensive grounds suitable for outdoor classes and the casting pond. The 2023 Hall of Fame Weekend will feature the following: A Friday, pre-event evening fundraiser: 'Lagers with Legends' at Mountain Layers Brewery, 90 Everett Street beginning at 7 pm. No cover charge. On Saturday, the Hall of Fame Ceremony will feature lunch at the historic Fryemont Inn, 245 Fryemont Street. The event begins with a 'Meet and Greet' at 12 pm, with lunch at 1 pm followed by the inductions. Ticket prices and more information to come.
